@simonwoods Thanks for the reminder to get Richter back on my playlists. He work is so good.
@simonwoods Mostly agree. Overcast is solid and a great player generally, but it’s interface is kind of stale, and it’s queue management never clicked for me. If I am fighting with the tool, I might not enjoying podcasts as much. One of the great benefits of podcasts is that anyone can build an app, then innovate the listening/management experience. Dig around for what’s happening in the Podcasting 2.0 space.
@Gaby We may have spoken too soon. Marco just refreshed the watch app. 😀
@Burk Congrats! So close to doing this, but afraid I have missed switching an account somewhere.
@dandycat Great post. I was on the fence about staying subscribed, as I so enjoy the show, but you’ve convinced me to unsubscribe.
@Gaby Mostly off Twitter these days, but I’ve long wanted a way to pay some creators I love on the platform. Maybe this would enable that?
@yorrike We have a 2 story house and use them as intercoms and for announcements. In the kitchen for timers and adding things to our grocery lists. We have a few smart bulbs and switches that we trigger with them as well.
@alongtheray Beautiful shot.
@ridwan The more we used the platforms for “podcasts” the more inevitable it becomes. Better to try and keep podcasting open and try to use and support truly open podcasting apps and shows.
@ridwan Not really what I mean. They have closed directories, shows exclusive to the platform. They have serial audio shows,not podcasts. They want to end the open platform of podcasts as we know it and make them exclusive to their platforms.
@Gaby I was totally joking. He won’t.
@ridwan Spotify and Audible aren’t great for the open podcast ecosystem.
@Gaby Maybe Marco will surprise us with a UI refresh. 😀
@hutaffe I use it mostly as a support forum for a few apps and some hardware. But I can see how people waste a ton of time on it.
@Gaby If you like cast iron, give carbon steel pans a try. They do require some maintenance(like seasoning) but a joy to cook in.
@Burk I hope it’s more than that. I would hate for Apple to drop Shortcuts from lack of usage.
@dandycat You were getting panics on sleep right? If this doesn’t work, it might be worth looking at any peripherals plugged in, as a cause.
@Gaby That notification badge on Mail, just sitting there, taunting you.
@amit Not cheating at all. When Google recently decided to end Photos free storage, I took my photo storage elsewhere. I don’t have a problem with paying, it was the bait and switch. The damage they did to the photo hosting ecosystem with their “free” offering.
@pratik No email here yet and definitely an old user. I did subscribe to archival for a while, wonder if that’s the difference.
@vincent Works great now. Thanks!
@odd Wow. It looks like the screen is pealing off.
